Lencho, a 30-year-old artist, has just returned to Guatemala after living as an expat in New York and is organizing an arts collective to bring attention to rising violence and injustice in his native country. Increasingly haunted by memories of the death of his father during the civil war and hunted by the police and its social cleansing program, the film portrays one man’s journey to self-knowledge and action: can Guatemala do the same?
Official selection at the 2011 HBO New York Latino International Film Festival; Mar del Plata International Film Festival (Argentina); and 2012 Festival Internacional de Cine de Punta del Este (Uruguay). Theatrical exhibition in Guatemala 2013.
